What to expect
A warm welcome
If you feel a bit nervous about joining us, that is completely normal. Our daytime sessions are designed to be gentle, fun, friendly, and relaxed.

How the 90 minute session works
Arrival / Warm Up
Singing for pure fun
The halfway brew
A cheerful close
Walk in and find a seat. There are no assigned spots or secret handshakes, just friendly local faces ready to say hello. We do some movement to music then warm up our vocal chords
We sing popular, familiar songs together. There is no sheet music to decode, no solos, and absolutely no auditions. Generally just two groups, the normal group and for those that want the extra challenge, the harmony group
We always stop for a cup of tea / coffee, biscuits and a proper chat. The social aspect of the group is just as important at the music. There's always social things happening outside the 90 minute session that everyone's invited to
We finish with a few more songs, leaving you energised and lifted for the rest of your day. If it's your first time, you'll get to pick any song from our book and we will all sing it together

Our Songbook
We have a newbee initiation ritual where all newcomers are invited to pick any song from our song book and we will sing it together after the tea break
“It does not need to be perfect - or technically correct - to be magic”
Coach and author Rasheed Ogunlaru's quote is perfectly suited to the world ofcommunity singing. The voice - or result of a choir singing together - doesn’t haveto be flawless to produce a magical effect. The best moments come from singingtogether, and sometimes it really doesn’t matter what that sounds like
